Hi folks

Just to clear up on Sunday - you rode too fast!

Me, Nance and David7 left the circus and got to the junction where u turn left for the reserve at 7:20.

Slave called me from SBRand back door @ 7:30.

Truth is, me and David had done Vasbyt day b4 and after 6kms to the junction we realised there was not a helluva lot in our tanks and so we were not everso upset to have missed you. Tho' Nance appeared to be crying at one point.

So we spent the next 2.5hrs circling the circus b4 attempting to eat thru their menu.

Hope to catch up with you this weekend.

Cheers

Slave' date=' no need for me to speak up you just need to read, go wash your glasses.

I'll join you on Saturday, Sunday I may take the day off. Haven't had a rest day since 21 March 09.

Are you riding with Narc on Friday morning & with GO & Nuw on Friday afternoon?

I'm planning to go ride on Friday morning.

Kid its a 2:hr 30: ride in the morning, otherwise would have been 14:30?!smiley1.gif

I thought you were planning to leave at 2:30am, I know you like wearing your skiing kit while you ride your bike smiley36.gifsmiley36.gif

So we'll meet at 7am at Xumbugs ?

The catch is that an easy ride for GO & Nuwbie means I have to pedal my @ss off and GO is well rested smiley3.gifsmiley3.gif

Slave you better be joining us!!!!

Joe Low you also joining ???.

ER, Kid, go wash your glasses dude. (Oh wait you dont have any. Get some)smiley17.gif

Dude, the Nuwb, Bird ride is at 7 on Friday Morning for 2.5 hours. I may be good at some sh!t, but being on two places at one time is above even my moderate capabilities.smiley36.gif

This ride of Nuwbs sounds good. Hills the works and a good dose of adreneline to end the ride going down Camaro. What a rush.

I think I'm in. Narco can either run scared or join in. Then we can do a recovery ride Saturday. Do a long Boscos loop on Sunday with Big Dawgs and I can go to ICU on Monday as planned. Rest at work on Tuesday.

So, kid, when did you go soft dude?

Garry and I went and did Butchers and Coloumbine yesterday arvie. Nice little rest ride in 1 hr 40.

Way too much nitro way too often, some things so badly damaged that they can't be fixed.

Since I believe in being prepared I've made an appointment to check in at the Mulbarton Clinic on Friday morning for recovery, also made a sneaky standby appointment at the Clinton in case I can only get there.......ambulances on standby, my paramedic buddy on call - lets do the steps!

I actually do wear glasses, just don't use them when I ride - so everything (hills) look pretty flat.

So what's the route for Friday ?

If we coming down Comaro does that mean that we'll be riding up Comaro  ??smiley11.gifsmiley11.gif

Kid - as per earlier post. You really need to use those glasses - you paid a lot for it to just lie around!!smiley2.gif

Xumbugs @ 7:00

Will prob do the cheesefactory loop, get back and do the short loop in reverse, climb buthers and through glenvista/rosettenville back to meyersdal vacinity.

I believe that THIS will 'splain.

2 30min ride? From where Nuwbie? The usual meeting spot? I'm keen...

Up buthcers dude. No steps so Narco can call off standby paramedics and cancel appointments at Clinton and Mulbarton. He gets to live to ride another day. Trust me, buthcers is hard enough on most days, after the Nuwb loop, it's going to tickle a bit.

I wear my glasses once I'm finished riding - told you don't want to see the hills.

Cool see you Friday at 7am, no skiing gear required.

Just remember that Slave knows a few woman from Rosettenville so we may need to wait for him.........

'k, so Narco is aksing route distance. About 80 to 90 k's if I'm not mistaken.

So, I take it your paramedic bud lives in Mondeor. I know one there too. Next time I go through Mondeor feeling like I did about two weeks back, I think I'll stop in for an emergency "juice" drip.

BTW, there are some seriously vicious hills in Glenvista. They also tickle a bit. (So far I been scared to go there.)

Hills?

What hills bud?

Just Camaro and we going down that one. YEeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaa.

(To get to the top though, there are only a few small climbs. Nothing serious.)

's OK Joe. No harm no foul. We just missed riding with you guys and if the truth be known. I may have had an easier time if you guys were along for the ride. (I could have hidden behind Nance and gone a bit easier.)

I still think you're faulty though. 152 k Vasbytand then 2.5 hours doing circuits around the circus. Hmmmm. Something tells me the circuit in your head is something like mine. Permanent overload. (as per the Boomtown rats.) smiley36.gif

Join us soon for another ride, I enjoyed your company last time around. Nuwbie is cooking up a scheme for this weekend and I plan to ride as much as possible. Just be sure to entice Nance to join us as well.

See y'all at Xumbugs on Friday 7 am.

(I can already feel the pain. GOv2.0, remind me what it was about crossing bridges before you get there.)

Narco, I may need a drip at the top of Camaro, Butchers is quite the climb. Not as bad as the Lido hill though. Lido is a real beaaach.

Not too sure where the cheese factory is myself so not too sure of distance. Whatever it is, will be cool for me. I'll have a PBS for brekkie b4 I leave home.

Since you just round the corner from me, I'll meet ya at checkers (corner Vermooten and Swartkoppies) about 6:40 /5 and we can amble along to XUMBUGS together.
