And one other thing (maybe two), I can hardly chew bubble gum and walk at the same time. HTF am I gonna be able to ride and take pictures of you at the same time?

 

Then we have to consider that this is a family forum and pictures of exploded people lying in the road after being blown away by one p!ssed off owl may not be considered family entertainment.

How about on the 22nd? Mrs. Slave is a willing "baby sitter."

 

Narco, you need to loose your baby sitter and find a way to ride dude. Even if it does hurt the ears a bit in the beginning, the pain eventually goes away, or the body gets used to it.

 

Do like the bird man. He rides Saturday and spends Sunday with his other half. Good compromise.

 

Some of us just do what the rice crispies tell us to do.

chatterbox, repsect dude. That was some ride up the steps. In that wind and after that distance, it was good going. I tried hard to stay with you and you blew me away.

 

I can see I need to do some more work on my hill climbing. Next time, I can hopefully mount a more respectable chase.

22nd sounds like a very good plan - work up a sweat in the morning and go straight to vote - at least you'll have some space around you in the queue.

Narco, dude, you opened the door to some serious pain. That first post of yours still hurts my ego,so I'm afraid it's going to be some hard chase up the steps fo you.

 

In the old days, the offended party challenged to offending party to a duel demanding "satisfaction".

 

I challenge you to a duel. The weapons, Bicycles, the venue, the loop, more especially the duel to take place up the steps at the end of the loop.

 

Date 22nd April 2009. Trust me, the pain of not attending will be far worse than anything else you could imagine. The amount of pain you endure on the day will be directly proportional to your desire to whip my ass up the steps.

 

We will be going along Columbine ave so you can just climb in the bus when we go past.

 

And yeah, Lycra tend to make me smell like a mine worker after a 16 hour shift. WE can scare away a few voters.

Don' think I'll be able to go out cycling this weekend... But next weekend I'll be able to do the Saturday ride. Still contemplating action for Sunday 26th, currently my mind is set on a Babbas Lodge MTB Race and a club ride a very distinct second place (if I can figure where they are gonna go to... just not the souff PUHLEEZ )

CB, yeah, I usually kick off as late as possible. I'm not a morning person and find it very difficult to unglue myself from the sheets, especially when it's cold. (I'm very much the fair weather poefter roadie that everyone talks about so if you got a bad rep from being a roadie, I'm the reason why.)

 

Dude, there is no such thing as luck getting up the steps. You obviously have what it takes to get up there fast. I know those things well and they always hurt. You did well.

 

Narco, not too sure but you prob'ly looking at anywhere between 75 and 90 k's round trip. I suspect we should meet you at the Sasol traffic lights. If we leave Bracken city at say 7, we should be coming by there around 7:30 to 7:40. Then we go along Columbine, Down Lido hill, through Walkerville and back.

I'm keen on a long loop on Sat, don't know about the fast & furious part and then I plan to do the short loop on Sunday so I can watch the F1 at 9am.

What do you have in mind ?

The long loop on Saturday is hatever the fast n furious make it out to be. I think they go cheese factory with another hectic hill in between and then head home. I think last time as 75 k's so I guess that's pretty much what they'll be doing on Sat.

 

How about that intermediate bunch on Sunday, they ride at fair pace and no Moana. She gets dropped.

 

I'm hoping that Narco will finally make it down from his mountain and be able to cut the apron strings for long enough to do this loop with us. Finally get to meet the cheeky bloody so and so. (His first post still wrankles and I have to extract my revenge on the steps. You know the lungs hanging out on the handle bars and the blood trail.)

 

So, wasssup,you scared of going long with the fast bunch? At least if we head out together, I will have someone to ride with when I get dropped. I think. (You were pretty fast on that Eye of Africa loop last weekend.)

 

I'm going anyway, your choice to join in the pain bus. Sunday I will need to recover a little in prep for Tuesday.
