Another tire/tyre question

Howdy, think this has probably been covered already.

 

Can you fit a non-tubeless tire to a UST rim (xm819) with no tube, just sealant?

ummmmm it will inflate without sealant but will not stay inflated for very long . To find out if a tyre will work on any rim is to first try and inflate the tyre without any sealant inside the tyre . If you can get the tyre to inflate then you will have a succesful convertion . I do not even add sealant with proper tubeless rim/tyre combinations . The sealant only comes later after I am sure the tyre does seal by itself .

Looking change the tires on the wife's bike - her current WTB mutano raptors UST one  weigh in at over 700g a tire!
