i took my mtb out this afternoon and took a wrong turn. I found the most awesome hill.. the only reason i didnt go all the way to the top was because i wasnt sure i could handle coming back down.

the steepest part is AVG 17% and just over 1km long.

fun fun fun. also, its all do-able on a road bike. only the last bit up to the masts do u need a mtb

You talking about "Steilte" Farm' date=' with the twin cement tracks leading up off the tar road? [/quote']

ja that one. then when u reach the top you go al the way up the gravel road to the towers

If you can ride straight up that gravel road you are impressive. My mate owns Steilte farm, I don't know if you are familiar with the forest to the right of the cement road but there is quite a bit of MTBing to be done there and some nice sneaky singletracks. There's also quite a network of contours that lead up to the level of the masts.

ja - riding up that gravel road is a back breaker. but it is doable. With regard to the single track in the forestry section - no one is meant to know about it. I normally access the forestry roads from spanish farm - theres a road up there that takes you onto the jeep track which zigzags all the way up. You can also get into the nature reserve from those roads, but the hikers dont like it when u come bombing downhill around blind corners and nearly take them out
