Avid Juicy five lever problem

Hi

 

Avid Juicy five brake levers:

 

My front brake lever is not returning to its normal position once compressed. The caliper is fine, and the brakes are not dragging. So when I pull the brakes, the lever is really slow to return to its normal position, almost like the piston inside the lever side is getting stuck.

 

I have bled the brakes, made no difference.

 

Any idease?

maybe just clean inside the brake lever there might be a bit of dirt or contamination that is preventing the piston from moving freely

Its almost as though the spring inside is broken

Have you tried fidlling with the reach adjustment scrww in the lever? Try a few different settings there and see if it makes a difference.
