Bubbles Posted January 31, 2007 Share I have the worst luck. Bought my bike in October (also just started cycling then) it is an entry level, but still pretty expensive for my budget. So took it in yesterday to adjust the cable, done 700km on it now. Also I complained about a squeeking noise coming from what seems to be my pedle - it turned out to be my BB.Bubbles2007-01-31 23:20:
Dicky DQ Posted January 31, 2007 Share On my road bikeI had to replace my Campag BB after 6 years and a lot of neglect. Oon my Mtb it is a way different story; had the bike for just over a year now and have had the BB replaced all of 5 times!!

6speedSchwinn Posted February 20, 2007 Share Bought my bike November 2006. The LX bearings only lasted 2000km. I've now replaced them with XTR's - hopefully I will have better luck this time.

GoLefty!! Posted February 20, 2007 Share On my MTB I still have the original outboard bearings I got with the crank. They've done about 4-5000km now. BB in the Scalpel has done around 15000km and its still smooth. BB in the rad bike, a XTR/Dura Ace splined system has done over 20000km in the 5 yrs I've had it. Only BB's ive ever had o replace have been I.S.I.S. bb's
