Hi all, wondering if anyone has friends/ relatives or themselves live in SW london and keen on getting together for some decent training rides in the area?

Keen to find a nice group of people to train with on a regular basis, throughout the year...

Cheers

You found any mates who can ride with you yet?

All I can say is stay off the icy patches.  I nearly had an incident...

Enjoy the snow.  Some people pay to see it!

yip, found an SA triathlon club that does regular weekend rides in the area, so going out with them on saturday. should be good, forecast is for -5 on friday night, saturday morning... nothing like going riding for a few hours looking like the michelin man!

Cold I can handle, it's the rain I hate.  Rain and wind.

Just wrap up nicely and you will have a great time.  I love the mtb routes because it's all frozen and fast.  Enjoy!

Gravitas,

Hook up with Kinston Wheelers - they meet near and in Richmond Park.  Totally cool dudes and you can learn a lot from them.  The UK dudes ride in any conditions and they train hard.  The Tri Club i think you have met is very ex pat and insular (I found if its the same one).

Check out Kingstonwheelers.com Get hold or James Beaumont and ride with the training ride on a sunday departing at 9 normally (not snow!).  I was in the UK for 5 years and tried many clubs, these dudes are awesome and very conveniently located and turned into tight friends.  Ride with the fast training chaps and look out for Dan the Phantom, you will know when you see him (or not!).

hey all, thanks for the feedback... have now tried a few club rides and can confidently say that London Dynamo is not the choice for me - way to aggressive on the road, and no time for anyone. That said i have been out with the tri club a few times and had great rides (box hill/ dorking and windsor), and have made contact with the Kingston guys, so hopefulyl will be out with them soon.

As for the weather - its been freezing, but as said before, we have no choice, so we go out regardless... and I am always amazed by how many people are out riding! The snow this week could make it interesting though...

Thanks all Clap
