ViperSquad Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Does anyone know who the service agents in Gauteng for Marzocchi Forks are? I bought a fork off the hub, and just want to have it checked out and given a service. There seems to be a "knocking" noise well more of a feel when I hit the brakes.
Guest Big H Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 When I needed spares for my Bomber gefore last years ARGUS I phoned Hatfield Cycles (012 - 333 8856) They gave me the number of somebody in George. I do not think they currently have service agents in Gauteng. What model Marzocchi fork do you have. I overhauled my Bomber two times now and it was uite easy and simple. I fitted new oil and dust seals as well as new bushes. I ordered all the material I neede form www.chainreactioncycles.com Do not worry to much about the caustic comments made by TNT1. He is cranky almost all the time.
DeltaOscar Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hey TT My XC600 is being serviced right now by the guys in George. I think they are all down in CT this weekend for Nationals. I don't have a number for them directly, but give Robin from Bike Hut a call and I'm sure he'll be able to refer you. The knocking sound is usually the spring, and seems to be caused by either low oil levels, or leaking air. Good Luck.
ViperSquad Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 It is a bomber. I have done my other RST forks but those where spring suspension. The bomber is air and oil. I don't want to take it apart only to screw it up. The manual is not exactly helpful either. JB said he could have a look at it, I will take it there and then steal with my eyes for the next service.
