feels brand new again.

After new chain, chain rings and cassette, new XTR gear cables, serviced shock, replaced dust seals and oil change in fork, new rear wheel bearings, (and free wheel body, they were getting a little rough) new rear tyre, new BB external bearing (re-build) and serviced head set, and checked pivot bearing (had to service the two larger ones)

All good to go, ready for SANI2C!!

Any thing else I should do??

Did it all my self, I do this once a year normally, so I generally buy stuff that I need slowly throughout the year, and look for bargains.

I got a lot of the stuff from CRC.

I would guess about 1.5k...?(for the parts) and about 4 beers for me!!

O ja, and I also bled my brakes!!

When doing your drive train check the jockey wheels. These are usually overlooked and can cause severe head scratching episodes. Check that your hanger is hanging straight too. A new one wont gurantee this either.

I would also recomend going full length cable outers especially when doing stage races.

They only do their job if you hit seriously muddy conditions. They dont work any smoother in my opinion just wont give up on you for much longer. You dont want crap with your cables and starting messing with your gears on a stage race. I believe that most gear niggles have their roots in the cable unless damaged by impact.
