I've got a 9 Speed Campag Veloce cassette and Crank on my Bianchi.

Cassette is 13-23' date=' big blade is 52T.

Problem is I keep spinning out downhill.

Can't get past 85 down suikerbossie.

Will a 54 make much difference?

Is there a compatible 54?

if a cassette is an 11 speed, that means you have 11 "cogs" on the cluster?

so does that mean you can go 22-11?

what is the highest the big cog can go to ?

can you use a mtb cassette on a road bike?

do the cogs have to be in sequential numerical order (11, 12, 13 etc)

what happens if you skip a cog or three (say 11, 14, 15, etc)?

Jip, but 10 speed is the norm. 11 speed only on the new campy and very expensive.

You can choose any 10 gears you want if you have a 10 speed. If you choose a bigger range you will have bigger jump between the gears.

No limit. But dont think you'll see much bigger than 54. Dont know.

Jip. Ask fandacious.

Ja

nothing, the difference between gears are bigger so it isnt smooth shifting and difficult to get the cadende 'just right'.
