Seat post

As MINIMUM you want it to go below the bottom of the top tube weld (usually around 6cm).However, don't forget to see the minimum insert level on the post itself.

Try not push the limits on this as it puts extreme stress on the frame.

Cheers,

steve

190mm outside frame and 180mm inside frame. And I am medium built. Thus to much inside frame.

Thanks

Roux- we could be looking at this from two different points of view.

From your above post.

Too much in the frame is not an issue.

If its seat height then its a separate issue with bike fit, and saddle height.

Wink And i just thought of how out of context this whole debate could become, on a totally different subject

You reading my mind, I am taking my bike apart to clean after training at the coast and some "beach" training....  (is that correctly spelled???)

Thought I must post this question, but had to rethink my question wording thrice...
