I made the mistake to compare this 40k with a 35k race I did at Babbas lodge... so with minimal training the Sabie humbled me gently towards damn hard!!!!

That helps a bit. Most of the impact is absorbed by bending the knees (I am not sitting on the seat in that jump), and rolling out of the drop. Ruan has a much more difficult task in the first photo, as he is landing on a flat surface.

Jip did the 40k on my 29" XC unicycle...We were 4 guys on unicycles and our psychiatrist on his MTB
