  1. I have been riding 2x9 cranks for over a year now. Certainly the way to go. Converting a shimano or truvative crank is difficult(chainrings are hard to get). A better option is to get a 2x9 crankset like Rotor, Sram XX, FSA.
  2. the best all round tyre you will find. not the fastest rolling tyre. i've used karma's for the past 3years
  3. def wheelset, those wheels are a tank. i might have a set of wheels for sale soon. american classic hubs, dt revolution spokes, brand new ztr 355 rims(waiting for rims to arrive). Wheelset weighs in at 1380 gr. Going to sell for R6000 if you keen.
  4. Any pics? Saw plenty flashes going off, where are the pics!!
  5. These incidents are now happening far to frequently. I was Hit 3weeks ago while out training, driver drove off leaving me lying in the road. A taxi driver came to my assistance. I was extremely lucky to get away with just a concussion, severely bruised hips and roasties. It's a shame our roads are becoming death traps for us. Get well Patrick!
  6. If you racing i would go for x0, simply for weight and looks. but X9 will be more reliable. I've seen plenty X0 shifters fail.
  7. Awesome shoes.the dial does get sticky now and then.i actually prefer the pro carb.the two straps and buckle has a better fit.
  8. full outers is the way to go. the trick is to use the correct cables. Use xtr inner cable along with xtr outer. xtr outer is known as sp-41 if u buying it off a roll. The most important thing is that u do NOT lube the cable. by doing that you'll have perfect cables for atleast 4-6 months.
  9. Your friend should be very careful.i doubt they are real.check this link http://flashdrivefacts.wordpress.com/
  10. WOW,that is insane. One thing i know for sure is that taking your hand off the bars in a sprint "to regain balance" is impossible!! I would to read the rabobank or barloworld press release on this!
  11. Hey Guys need some pics for my blog.number 146 in elite men?*please*!!
  12. Thanks 4feet. Keep em pics rolling chaps
  13. The reason people run a duo crankset is not for weight saving....The main reason is for a better ratio and better chainline. On a tripple ring you cannot run big blade and granny at the back. With a double ring crank your large ring sits where the middle ring would. in saying that, it also depends what terrain you ride on your mtb.Double ring is better suited to lap racing and technical riding, also better to use a 42T chainring instead of a 44T. The jump from a 44 to 29 can be quite sever in terms of the change in cadence. Also, taking off your granny ring to make it a double ring crank is pretty pointless.its a tiny weight saving and you still have the disadvantages of tripple ring and none of the duo crank advantages .rather sacrifice the 15gr, just incase you have bad day!!!

  19. Sa Pro's aren't backed by international manufactures therefore the only custom bike they would have is a custom sprayed frame. Specialized factory riders are riding a standard production frame with a braze on front derailer enabling them to run a dura-ace FD
  20. wow this is interesting....confusing actually!
