Rockshox Tora 302SL (2008 non air) or Manitou Skareb Platinum (circa 2005 - just serviced - air with SPV)

 

For those that want to why the one over the other?

Hi DanXT - yip I have the Tora on now and it is way heavy, however the Skareb looks 'dated' and has those 'thinner' stanchions etc. Having said that it is in great nick and it has been serviced in December and not ridden since .......

RS seems nice and beefy.

also have one, but hell i dunno what they stuck in it.

Them skinny looking forks dont really inspire much confidence ,do they?

Rode the Skareb on my old K2. Really enjoyed it but could feel the improvement when I moved over to a Fox. Never ridden a Tora so cant compare it to that.

it's oldish, for sure. i got it reconditioned after i broke the steerer of the original fork on my trance, when i decided to turn a taxi's emergency exit into an emergency entry.
