I cought the beginning of SC last night and this was brought up on there aswell. It looks like this issue is taking its toll on AM. Is it my imagination or is he very skinny (more then usual) and going quite grey. .

If so it did not stop him riding like a demon on Sun.

 

 

 

The fawning press release actually says his ride on Sunday was partly inspired by the price-fixing allegations.

 

 

 

I also had a challenging week dealing with these allegations. I?m definitely not involved in a price-fixing cartel, as the investigation will reveal. Unfortunately, the media makes that assumption long before there are even any facts made known. So today I had a lot of anger, which helped inspire me to go for the win.?

He then said that there is no cartel and no mission to fix prices. He also said to pick any 10 items and compare prices vit different shops... it wil differ

Of course it will differ as long as they compete over a "set" base price! ie. go no lower than Rx

 

like i said ... a retailer told me that the idea was to increase rec retail price and those shops that sell below (or below the max disc. price) will be under presure from the wholesaler and can loose rights to sell that product

There is no sympathy from me for either of these stakeholders, when you run a business you need to know what you can and cant do, dont cry here that you were unaware you should not have these meetings.

 

In my opinion the INTENTION was to fix prices, thats sufficient incentive for me stay out of their stores.

 

.............and let me have another little rant here, I am quite sure all these fellas are nice guys, WHO CARES,............this is not about personalities, its about business ethics, or in this case Lack of them.!
