Cranky Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Mikes Pass on its own is a tough 600m climb in about 11km. Riding on the plateau when you get to the top of Mikes Pass, through the reserve on foot paths, is incredible. Like riding on top of the world. I did it on Cathedral Peak Hotel's mountain biking weekend two years ago. They're having another MTB weekend at the end of May. It's a great 3 days of riding in the most beautiful setting.

Sabie, Pilgrims Rest and Graskop areas are good, especially the Forest to Falls race at Graskop. I have never ridden at Sani Pass. Knysna is good and so is the area around Montagu. Another good area is Karkloof in KZN. Clarens and Marquard in the Free State are not bad. jagwil2009-03-10 10:09:20
