National Seeding Index?

The results for a popular Gauteng-based race (held in February on the East Rand) were submitted to Cycle Events on the 24th of March. This limits your guessing to only 3 race.

 

Still waiting for confirmation before divulging the name of the event. Perhaps Cycle Events can publish what they have.

I am the first one to say thank you to cycle events for all the work and effort put in, but i have to agree with rhalim on his/her point about races like the fast one, jan 27 i think it was. CGC say they use the cycle events seeding for their books and licensing, well at least they used to, don't know if that is still the case.

 

 

 

 

 

on that note though, there is always the comment about people argueing their time, etc. From my non-educated standpoint, i have to ask, are there that many people that argue their time? is it that much of an issue that it delays official results from being released?

Pickled, thanks for standing by me on this one. Is it fair that we all have to be inconvenienced by a selected few people that always believe that their times are better than that of the timing company involved? I know that my seeding index will improve 10 fold however, I have no other option but to wait. The seeding index is a "free" service provided to us cyclists, so why are we paying licenses fees? Why do we pay entry fees? Surely there must be a component that gets channeled to the race office???

 

It will be nice to get some sort of reward or benefit from the funds that we hand over! Sometimes I get a feeling that all official parties involved are out to milk every participant....

Apparently the event organisers never updated their records when Slave substituted on my entry.... He had the letter 'and all', his timing chip registered but 'the entry belongs to another rider' (ME!)

 

Winning Time acknowledges email reconfirmations of everything, but the event organisers do not respond to queries via email.....
