  12. Hi all, My brother in law is starting out with the whole cycling thing. I have arranged a bike, he has a lot of the stuff he needs, except one main thing, people to train with. Is the anyone on the hub that knows of group rides in the Richards Bay/Empangeni area, or people that are willing to take him out for a pedal. He is a beginner so will not be taking on the cycling world just yet. I am unfortunately based in JHB so difficult for me to help out more than with parts and kit... Let me know. Thanks Pickled.

  15. Why not forward that mail through to EWN.co.za could be fun for him to try explain to the media and subsequently the cops...
  16. Epic did a bit of damage to these, lady I was refering to managed to destroy the inside of the rear hub, killing pedaling ability and essentialy ending up with a free spinning hub, both directions.
  17. The improvement of seeding is a slow process. Ride, get a good time, get a better group. Ride again in new group get good time, get better group.. and so on and so on. Simple realy. I went from R to C in sequential 94.7's now VA (I hope)... its a process Here is a novel idea for us, why not just enjoy being out on our bikes, in the beautiful contry, enjoying the blue sky and the wonderful surrounds, air in lungs (maybe a bit poluted, but...) and blood in our veins..
  18. OK, here is a different thought. How many people on here are riding stock standard bikes, no changes in bars, saddles, pedals, cranks, bartapes, stems, etc.?
  19. Yeah well.... Honestly, yes some ladies may fit on to the standard Geometry and the standard gloves may work, however, of the shorts, saddles, shoes, etc side of things, most women prefer the ladies designs. There are basic physiological and biomechanical differences and thus there is a need for two different designs. Unfortunately most of the generic Billy's that work in bike shops don't actually know how to fit, sell, or even explain this and thus you still find a lot of guessing and misunderstanding going on.
