RedDevil Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Could someone suggest any remedy for a slipping seat post on my MTB? I get worried 2hrs into a ride as I see my cahoonas coming closer to the top tube... Seat post & frame are aluminium. Thanks for your help!
timdm Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Do you have a shim to accomodate a smaller seatpost in a slightly larger seat-tube?This was the pain of my existence on my Giant XTC, until I turned the seatclamp around so that the tightening screw is on the same side as the slit in the seat tube.Hope this helps!
mudda Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Change the seatpost clamp from quick release to fixed type. Since I did that - I have no more slipping of the post.
