Seat post slippage

Could someone suggest any remedy for a slipping seat post on my MTB? I get worried 2hrs into a ride as I see my cahoonas coming closer to the top tube...

 

 

 

Seat post & frame are aluminium.

Do you have a shim to accomodate a smaller seatpost in a slightly larger seat-tube?

This was the pain of my existence on my Giant XTC, until I turned the seatclamp around so that the tightening screw is on the same side as the slit in the seat tube.

Change the seatpost clamp from quick release to fixed type.

 

Since I did that - I have no more slipping of the post.
