after mandibles' unfortunate episode with tyres and stans and chemical reactions, was wondering about stan's and bombs ... does the CO2 influence the effectiviness of the stan's in any way?

I firmly believe that using bombs reduces the lifespan of your sealant. I think that the blast of cold air forms a snot ball which grows inside like a snowball. Not even trying to run the slime down and bombing the tops helps.

The guy whose tyre exploded on the Barberton climb, spraying near and sundry with sealant, must have used butane as well. That wasn't you by any chance Shamus?Wink

stans, joes and other amonia based sealants react with the co2 to dry out the sealant. if you use a fiber based sealant such as oko you wont have the same problems.

if you are going to bomb your tire with stans in it then use an innovations big air canister as it's not compressed co2
