Well done dude, you have beeeeeg balls, that ride in the cold all on a singlespeed as well.

Congrats.

I know the problem you are referring to with that tensioner, even if it pushes up againts the chain.

Now get rid of that tensioner and replace with this :

Thanks Dangle. What make/brand of tensioner is that and where did you get it? (Looks very similar to a Rohloff tensioner.) I couldn't find anything locally and ran out of time to order something before the race, the On-One tensioner was the only thing available at the time. Probably would've been fine together with a dedicated SS rear cog without ramps but that's how you learn I guess.

Hi all

My SS built up off donor parts and old hand me downs. It started off as a Project Free Ride with the concept of it being a free bike.

She has been in fully rigid mode until my Scotties rear shock has needed to be sent in for a service now the 140mm foxy fork is now on the SS and she feels great.

Took her for her first maiden dirt voyage this weekend and she was an absolute blast to ride :D So much so that I am tempted to sell the duallie frame a get On One Inbred 456 Chocolate Brown frame ... see My link

Attached are pics of the SS as she stands at the moment.
