Last week I was chatting to other Hubbers when I saw someone enquiring about Como Bike's number. I followed the thread as Bargains, a fellow Hubber, offered his number as a contact. I mentioned that I had bought some Sidi shoes from Como Bike's SA site,  but had to pay hectic duties when they arrived. Bargains aksed me to send him my documents, which I did. Shortly after I received a call Fom Neil Copeland who runs Como Bike in SA, apologising for the fact I had to pay the duties when the shoes arrived, as their policy is the price you see, is the price you pay. This morning I received a refund. Thanks for the great service guys! Hubbers look at Como Bike for online deals, particularly stuff that you cannot get in SA easily.

It is very sad when we have to shout "good service" when we get it' date=' when in fact it should be expected. I suppose that's the state of the SA service industry which is unfortunate. Just my 2cents[/quote']

it is 100% true but you only ever hear about the bad service. By confirming that a place gives good service might persuade other to buy from them.

No, I think what is sad is that we will quickly complain when we're not happy about something, but not enough credit is given to people who go the extra mile to rectify problems, in order satisfy their customers.

Don't be so quick to bash South Africa.

Bike service in London was pretty much the same as here, just MUCH more expensive.

Stating the facts isn't BASHING SA. I have worked in the sales and service industry for 15 years and clients are always shocked when one delivers exceptional service. What does that tell you?

Nope Delgado. Neil is in SA. His brother Brett is in Italy.
