taiwan's too acceptable. sweatshops in china should give you better satisfaction?

 

 

 

My Puma tekkies were made in southern Africa. It says so on the little lable.

When I read this news a few days ago it was pretty sad indeed as I know some of folk over in Bethel.

for me the bad thing is the loss of jobs. Sometimes globalisation is not a good thing.

 

However, Cannondale has been having parts made in Taiwan and China for many years. Forgings, Some carbon frames (synapse, Taurine, Six, Rush Carbon) have been mnaufactured over there since the beginning of that line, so this move is expected.

 

But with manufacturing costs rising in China and Taiwan as well, this is a pretty short sighted move. But executives want short term gains and sustainability is an abused buzz word.

 

I still love the brand and the people behind it. I'll still buy one even if my future bikes willbe  made in China
