If you got to the international or US sites you will see that Giant didnt stop making composite Anthems at all.

 

They just arent part of the Australian lineup which is where SA pick their range.

 

Edit: Didnt realize you were talking about the Anthem X. Sorry.

They continued with the Anthem Advanced alongside the Anthem X range. Aimed at the top end race crowd.

 

This carbon version looks interesting. I wonder what it will weigh and I know that it will be silly expensive!

True. That looks like a hit from something. not a crack from fatigue.

 

 I really dont see the advantage of a Carbon Full Suss. road bikes it's fine but MTB ???? Good if you're sponsored or "wealthy". (Chris Rock reference)
