Hey Pal, I feel your pain man, My Ex gf also tried clips, so I decided that we would just do a simple little road ride the first day so she can have time to think about clipping out as she rolls to the stop street., But the fool went and cut a corner going acros a pavement which I dont even think about anymore... ai ai she followed ending up crashing as shie lost momentum going up the sidewalk..

I couldnt beleve how soft girls are, what would have been a little bruise that I wouldnt even think about for to long made a proper Hole in her pretty legs. I felt terrable, and it was the last she ever rode with clips.

good thing its not my worries annymoreWink

I would almost go ride around a grass field for a couple of practice sessions.. untill the brain is trained well. I dont know which pedals you got her but Crank bross is not the one to get her going on. they dont adjust as far as I could see. set the pedal tension way low for her first couple of rides and stay away from singletrack climbs as that seems to be the one that gets everyone.

good luck buddy, its a labour of love.

Quite honestly, why waste money on something that should take you a week or two to master at the most.  My suggestion is to put her bike on a indoor trianer (If you don't have one then borrow one.  Should you not manage one, buy one for the same price as the body armour you are planning.  Might actually be cheaper).  Then let her practice everyday until she masters it.

My wife could be considered a slow learner when it came to these cleats and yes she bought one or two pieces of real estate but she managed soon enough.

No, Knaapstad aint for sissies. Where tougher than old Vernon Koekemoer. Around here you need at least one fatality to make a ride considered worth it.
