porky Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I dont know, I personally think Gators are over rated, over priced and over used. ..............but I have an issue with Continental right now, so I may be biased.? Naa, I am not,.................. Michelin is a much better tyre in my view.

DaLoCo Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Vredesteins, only R170.....raeson being, they are cheap to replace when buggered. I have hit broken bottles, crash sites and sunder in the dark (my light is terrible) and have yet to get a puncture. Basically, nothing will stop a sharp thing from getting in, just resist it a bit better. My Conti's gave me one puncture only in 1000km I had them, they were secondhand when I got them. None are going to give you peace of mind, so rather spend cheap, you will be less upset if a cheap tyre gets a puncture It only takes 5 mins to change the tube, and law of averages says you will not get a pucture every ride.......put slime and ride. I have only had the one puncture since October, my bud has had six (two from faulty conti tubes)
