So how good is a Garmin 705?

Myself and a friend recently bought ourself Garmin 705 Edge,he has encounterd downloading problems.

Anyone have the same or other problems?

nope. downloading to where? Use Garmin Connect and UPLOAD. better info than that packaged app that comes with it.

are you using sports tracks or the garmin software ???

 

sports tracks is very good you dont need anything else.

 

there are two methods one is to download and the other is to import the file from the history folder of the unit like browsing your hard drive of your pc.

If the problem is with Training Centre, I find I sometimes need to

unplug the 705 from the USB cable and then reconnect it if it

gives me the device not detected error on trying to download...

I checked the strap.Its not like the Polar where you can clean the contacts if it sometimes goes coo-coo

Check the battery and replace if necessary (or if you are unsure).

 

I wet the contacts under the strap before putting it on. Good ol' spit...

I have the same prob. Someone said I should just put a little vasilene on the contacts. Try it.

Try this guy. BL I dont know If it was this place you were refering to, but I know the distrubutors for garman and what Its cost price is, this guy is not even putting 10% markup on this.

Garmins are awsome if you going to use all the features. If u only looking for heart rate and cadence get a polar. I use a edge 305 its good as well
