It's interesting that he's using an old San Marco model... does anyone know where in SA you can get these?

he does not follow trends. He uses what he knows works. Before the new shaped Shimano pedals he used heavy 5 year old pedals and the only way he could shave more weight on his bike was to get rid of his pedals. He helped develop the new Shimanos and that is why is he riding it still on his Sram bike.

I have Lance's saddle on my single speed. I must say I prefer the shape of an Arione or one of Kiwi's Planet Xes.

Another Lancism was to stick to a horizontal top tube. Trek only went to a sloping top tube after Lance retired.

He also used to ride with no left Sti on the mountain stages to save weight. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he even rode with a quill stem in '99 - talk about being a slow adopter!

Those Planet X saddles are the bomb, and you can't beat that kind of value for money.

Lance uses the Concor. The ones on his TT machines get their noses chopped off to conform to UCI rules - they look really silly....

Sounds like this sort of action is just what Boonen needs to stay in line.

Plugging would be a better option in my view - chopping it off would only allow for greater intake per snort.

I can't believe how silly Tom is being/has been. Ahhhh the "good" life...
