Dear Sean, Welcome. I live in Welgelegen (Monte Vista). I always cycle down Plattekloof to Main Road (Koeberg) onto Town. Daily. But on weekends (City Cycling ) leave from Edgemead, ON Saterdays It may be to Melkbosstrand and back. (riding past Ascot shopping centre onto Marine Drive through to Melkbosstrand) OR to Durbanville and back. ON Sundays it may either be Klein Joostenberg Farm Stall (Stellenbosch) and back through Durbanville. OR Camps Bay and back. ALWAYS remember this is Cape Town, if is wet but not raining we will ride. Friends are always welcome, we are strict with keeping the bunch together. Puncture we all stop. Both days the pace average is kept to 25/27 km  the  distance on Saterday 50km to 80km and Sunday  +- 90km. Do not forget the coffee and cookies is waiting at the finnish.     frail2009-06-05 16:39:53

Welcome to Royal Ascot!  If you haven't tried riding with City Cycles then I can also highly recommend them. We ride on the weekends and public holidays. If you are keen to ride mid week then please pm me

Windguru says Sat morn has a chance of light rain, but I'll probably ride from the Edgemead sportsfields. Sun looks like some heavy rain but Windguru is not too accurate .. so we'll see.

Hi Seanm, we are a group of guys cycling every Monday and Wednesday nights from 19h00 in the Bigbay area, starting at the parking area of Seaside village, we do a loop of 2,7 km with a 600m hill included, very safe and lots of lights and little traffic.
