  1. agree with Koukie, got my Pyro 2000 on pre-order about 6 weeks ago and it's awesome to say the least. On 10 - 25 % you will get about 5 hours of riding time and on jeep track you need no more. Singletrack with a bit technical terrain you can set it to the 75 % mode with a push of a button and you will get around 2.5 - 3 hours riding time. On 100% you blind the oncoming traffic. I found that with this light i only need it to be bar mounted, no helmet light required as like in the past. These lights are the business.
  2. And if 360- Songo had the bad luck on stage 1, what would the scoreboard be saying then?
  3. forget about the goodie bag, what pi$$ed me off was the "forced to pay 8 bucks" for parking at Canal Walk OR to take the road from Melkbos to Delvera farm today OR to get there freakin early on Sunday morning. And this all just to pick up my number. Absolute BS !!!!
  4. A Spez Sworks Stumpjumper FSR !!! 140mm- front and back.
  5. Couldn't agree more. A pathetic attempt of organizing a race, from safety of the riders to no water at the last two waterpionts and we finished early. I felt sorry for the funriders and late finishers. The burger cycle tour and ppa have us by our balls. You have to belong to the PPA for seading and the very badly organized burger is the easiest way to get a seeding for the Argus. That is why a lot of my friends stop doing the Argus anymore.
  6. Hi flymango, yip got one and it works brilliant. It keeps the watch in a 'safe' place and you also never have to adjust time if you haven't wore the watch for more than two days.
  7. love my Breitling, it's a Avenger Skyland Blacksteel Limited edition.
  8. Hi Stevief, I take my two huskies every second to third day for a 5k run down the beach on my mtb, using a retractable 5m leash system for big dogs, holding it with my left hand and steering and breaking the bike with my right hand. Each husky is wearing a dog harness and from each harness I have a one meter rope connecting to a mountaineering clip and attached to the one end of the leash system. What is nice about this way of running them, is that they run about 5 - 6 meters in front of you and that you can regulate the speed and direction or sudden movements of the huskies, the only downside is that I replace my disc brake pads on the back more often than necessary, but the dogs just absolutely love going on a run and they pull me up to speeds of 35km/h. I wouldn't recommend tying them down to your bike, cause you have very little control. Good luck.
  9. very cool, even use when kayak
  10. ya, Pedal Power, who are they? I'm still waiting for last years membership card and number. But if you don't register, you don't have a " on record " Argus time, nor a Argus mtb time or most race times in the Western Cape. The pedal power is almost in the same class as Computicket, the service is not always up to scratch and as long as they sell memberships/tickets, who cares, they happy.
  11. Was an awesome ride as usual, every year it just getting better And in which race can you stop to have a beer or a shot of port at an unmanned pitstop with a great view, meet some new people and have almost 6k's of downhill lying ahead and then you also get rewarded with a bottle of wine or grape juice - Only at the Robertson Wacky Wine MTB ride. Well done guys, it was brilliant. A MUST for all. We will be there next year, even our accommodation is already booked.
  12. that's why i love my iPhone - can listen to tunes in my playlist, get tracked by endomondo, with every km updated info and can take handsfree calls during the ride. This is happening all at once via the iPhone's headphone with built-in volume/pause controller and the battery last 5hours with 22% battery life left over. Comparing the info with my polar on the same ride, it is very accurate. - endomondo is a very cool app.
  13. looking at the coverage, asides from the rock garden, the track seemed to suit the 26er's more than the 29er's in this event. Just my twp cents....
