This has been the best chage ever on my MTB. I can ride for hours and hours in the sitting position without my but getting sore. This is really an amazing product. I rode on my friends R30 000 GIANT dual suspension bike and the comfort can`t compare to the suspension I added on my bike. This product is from THUD BUSTER and retails for around R1750. It really is worth it. If there is anyone out there that has the same product on their bike let me know what you think. I don`t think I will ever have the need to buy a dual suspension bike, especially for the crazy prices they go for these days.

If I remember correctly Thudbuster is made under license with the holding company being Cane Creek. I used one once and then felt mildly sick, funnily enough I got the same feeling when riding a Klein Mantra Comp.

That said if everyone liked the same thing life would be boring. The only saddle I will ever use is one of Selle Italia's SLRs with, dare I say it, a plain old boring, rigid seatpost.

I never said everyone should use and like the same thing. This suspension article is how I find the seat suspension. I.O.W a personal opinion. There are other people out there that will also try it and have the same opinion as me. How can you in any case get "mildly sick" when riding this suspension. NOT NORMAL!!! Was it a sea sick feeling. Don`t ever go deep sea fishing.

Jeez mate calm down, re- read what I wrote all I was trying to say was that I had tried the product and I did not like, I wasn't having a go at you. As to the phrase, "mildy sick," I was just taking the phrase out of its literal context and using as a metaphor. I am not a huge fish fan as it is and I'm scared of sharks so I don't fancy a deep sea fishing trip regardless of how sick I may or may not get.LOL

Hi jaqwil. Full suspension bikes are great. I see that Burry Stander also switched over to full suspension and he says in an artical that he will use it over and over again on the Epic. What I wonder though is the weight issue on the full suspension bikes if you cannot afford a full suspension carbon bike. From what Ive heard was the full carbon / suspension bikes start at R20 000+. Is this true. I would love one myself but the price puts me off thats why I can only ride for now a light weight hard tail with the thudbuster under the seat.

What is your opinion on the prices of full suspension / carbon bikes or is there a bike out there that is light (maybe carbon) that goes for a good price. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Cbronston. I find it really great especially on those long bumpy rides. LOVE IT TI BITS...

Great - thats what I need, guess its all the two-ply that makes my butt so sensitive Big%20smile. Get my bonus in end-August and going to put one of these on my wish list.

We have one on the MTB Tandem. The length of an tandem just ampifies the bumps. Em refuses to ride with me on that Tandem without her Thudbuster!!!!!!!

I would agree that on a tandem a Thudbuster is probably the way to go.

Normally, however, I would think that a full suspension would be a better bet.

........just keep in mind that full suspension bikes aren't made that way soley for comfart.....  I think the main idea was to keep your wheels stuck to the ground....

Susspension will eat rocks and roots.......not sure if a suspension seat post will do the same..... also keep rebound and compresion inmind

All that said - I am sure that a susspension seat post has it place and intended use.
