Any idea chaps on how to put her on a diet now that you've seen a pic? Thats why I was asking about the Crossmarks yesterday.

 

Ditch the suspension fork and put the On-one carbon fork (26" version) on there as well as 29er front wheel. aka 69er aka 96er aka 55er.

 

Also as everyone else says, crankset, wheels, cassette,...

Well I am swapping to a 2x9 setup with a middleburn crankset, and then a road front mech for the 2x9 setup, and rebuilding the on-one wheels with Velocity blunts rims, DT swiss comp spokes and the planet-x hubs.

 

This is a dream build, but pick a couple of those parts and the weight should come down nicely :

My Scandal 29'er (M) weighs in at exactly the same as your 26'er and I'm looking to shave a few hundred grams off with an XTR Rear Derailleur and an XTR Cassette.

I think mine will end up, in final configuration at approx. 11.5kg (wheels and tyres on a 29'er accound for about 3kg!)

My Scandal 29'er weighs in at 10.65kg....being my first mnt bike, i am still struggling with the set up.
