[/quote'] The reason why I'm on V-brake (hubs). I wanted to try a suspension fork on my rigid jump bike earlier this year, but the only fork I had was v-brake only. I ended up making one of the worst financial decisions of my life. Ordered a hub and a disc brake. Hub was incompatible with the existing wheel, so I had a new wheel built - so add spokes and rim to the price. Rode with that setup for a few days and realised that I don't like it. AndreZA Posted June 9, 2009 Share I've read though that the juicy range tend to squeal badly. Experiences? ? heard that said about shimano brakes too. they start that way the 'bed' in? My Juicy 3s never squealed and my XTs only did when I started bedding them in. People touch their rotors with their hands and then they loose braking power and then they spray all sorts of cleaners and lubes on the wheels and this gets onto the rotors and pads and the squealing starts.
