My trials bike is a singlespeed, so I don't need a thin chain or anything, I'd rather go for something extra strong. The trials bike chain does take a LOT of pressure, so what's the strongest option?

Hog, I'm using the BMX chains supplied by Kiwi on my SS.

IIRC they are YBM chains but the model designation eludes me.

BMX chain will only work if the pitch is right, You cant take a MTB chain off and put a BMX chain on. It wont line up. The KMC Kool chain is awesome and your LBS should have them. R189.00  and Tough as nails. White is standard colour. try The Riot.

Thanks T. I'm just looking for something very strong at the moment. I'm already running a fairly strong chain, but I still managed to partially pull apart one of the links. I'll see if I can fix it as a temporary measure.

Ooooooh! White will look so pimp on the GT! I'll have to go past Riot this week sometime.

I'm not getting what you're saying about pitch? Surely if the links are the same length and the front and back gears line up the chain will be fine?

Nope. The pitch is the distance from link to link. If you wrap a normal bmx chain around a MTB chainring it will only fit on the first 4 or 5 teeth and then start to go out of sink, like a really stretched chain.

After thinking abit, you do get some BMX race chains that might fit but they aren't any stronger than quality MTB chains, as they are for racing only and therefore ligher (light does not equal strong).
