You must have watched a different game, BBC commentator who I think knows a thing or 2 about soccer was heard to say

I am not saying we will win the tournament, far from it actually, what I can say is that the game we played last night was the best game of soccer I have ever seen South Africa play.

 

My thoughts.

 

We passed immaculately and accurately, we kept good pace on the ball, we kept possession of the ball.

 

Had our strikers been more accurate and we had a few less off sides in that second half, it would have been a world class performance.

 

Sure NZ are not great, but you can't take the 2-0 win away.

 

I am a proud South African today, not because we won against a weak team, but because they played their hearts out.

It was a good game. We just needed to finish more of the opportunities. The passing was quite good. We need to do more of those short, quick passes in other games.

Lets hope NZ can hold off Iraq.

We need to remember, we are k@k footballers, whether we bad or not, forget history, I never watch football I did last night in support of fellow South Africans, and I was encouraged, we are hosting the 2010 world cup lets just support them anyhow. Guys, lets be honest here. Beating the All Whites 2-0. Wow!. Means nothing - they never attacked, never looked like scoring , Barker said halftime, they offer absolutely nothing. How Spain only managed 5 goals against them is surprising.

I think they are 10/12 places below SA on the ranking list!

These clowns need to realize that they are nowhere near as good as they believe they are, wanting R 30 mill or something stupid if they win, etc.... Just ludicrous.

The game against Spain will be an eye opener.
