I would say - its part of our soccer culture - so keep it there! Its amazing that this made such headlines in the media. I mean most of us (white south Africans), never cared or even watched SA soccer games!! Now we are the ones who complain.

If you watch football - it different to our soccer and African soccer for sure, but this does not mean that they (football side) can decide to change the culture and atmosphere in African soccer.

Ban it from rugby games and everything else though - it will not fit there. We shout and sing in rugby like European Football

What amazes me is that they sound of the vuvuzela never dies - it only changes volume during a game - 90min!!!

Would be cool  if the crowd can piss of Brazil with the "noise" and let our boys give them a go, like the Spain game.

Once, during a rugby game...my little sis was blowing her vuvuzela...this old lady tapped her on the back and told her, this is not a sport for a bunch of hooligans. ermm ok. Just then about 5 guys to the left of us, blew their vuvu's. So my sis did too..she then emptied her can of beer on my sis. ya...all I'll say is her husband walked away in shame.

well said astana.i was at loftus on sunday night and was not looking forward too the noise of the vuvuzela but was surprised that it was not a problem at all.it is annoying on tv but at the match it was fine.i enjoyed the match 100% and the vuvuzela is what makes a soccer match in sa.

another thing i noticed is that it is not the so called "black" supporter blowing the vuvuzela but everybody regardless of colour had a vuvuzela.

i think its time we except it as part of our fans way of enjoying a match just as they have been doing prior too the confed and world cup.

My Point .. exactly ..

we have accepted a noisy lack of culture as acceptable..

I was in Italy last month.. - and in Europe last year..

Only when I came back - did I realised how conditioned to a lack of respect & a lack of culture we have become.......

Its OK to enjoy something - but to become A HOOLIGAN ..

I question.. the culture...

My 2c opinion...
