Fizik Gobi XM broken

Hi

 

Just noticed that my Gobi Xm is craked right through underneath.

 

This is a a 3 month old saddle that came standard on my new Giant AnthemX1.

 

Do you think that Fizik would replace it??

Do I got to Giant, or do I contact the local Gobi rep??

they will same happened to mine...but cal them soon as I think the warranty is only 3 months. I then got an aliante from them as it fits me better - that one broke too so I got another one!!

I think it might be just past the three months mark.

 

I might have to get to test how good my cycle sure insurance really is.

I used to have a stelle, but for me my gobi is way more comfy

What is the cost of a new Gobi XM??

try fizik themselves and a new one is about R2000 (although I think CWC in cape town has then for R1200)

I had the same happen to my Gobi, take it back to the bike shop and ask them to contact the Fi'zi'k rep on your behalf, if it has not been abused they normally change it. However, after 2 years that one broke in the exact same place while I was touring part of the Freedom trail, I had to cut a tennis ball up and wedge it between the seat and rails to last the trip, that seat they did not replace "it was long past it's warranty period" But I love the saddles.

What amazes me is that you had a tennis ball with you... why did you have a tennis ball?

I did not... but whilst riding thru Dordrecht I bought one and cut it to size fitted it so that it supported the saddle just enough to provide comfort and last until Hofmeyr.
