Bearing in mind that ive never even come close to riding a specialised machine so granted i dont know what im talking about when it comes to their bikes. my question is: what makes them think that they are the fishizle. There are plenty other high end bikes out there that im my mind possibly ride just as well as one of specialiseds bikes for half the price & arent full of k@k when it comes to putting on different/upgraded better parts or am i completely off track ? like i said ive never been even close to riding one so this is just a question My other question is: Are they really worth the money that some people pay for these bikes. I mean really - it seems its daylight robbery but as i said thats just me personally, i'm not the biggest fan of the mtbs - although i rode an enduro the other day that could easily earn a place in my wobble of bikes - but i do love my tarmac road bike. specialized make other excellent stuff like gloves, shoes, etc? Veloce Posted July 2, 2009 Share I was put off specialized 2 years ago at the Sani2C with the reps bad attitiude and their crap service. At the time, I was looking to get a tarmac pro roadbike and at a later stage, an S-Works hardtail. After this incident I got neither and will never look at a spez again. Free Posted July 2, 2009 Share Mate...thats the way they row their boat. A while back I worked for a big bike shop in JHB. From all the suppliers we got the kakkest service from the special guys. They've got very crap attitudes and are very arrogant. Its not a bad brand to stock, but they think its their way or the highway, and that attitude is going to bite them in the ass. Deltahotel Posted July 3, 2009 Share And then lastly... on my original post I said that the rep didn`t want to come down to see me, because it is not worth it. Here`s the thing. A while ago Spez initiated a computer program where you can order what you want online... that is great for the retail shops and their system is flawless! If anybody orders, the sale goes under that reps name, so the commision obviously goes to the rep.. so why wanna come see me if you are already making money without me even seeing you???
