Why not make it a 200metres stage? Same result

Hate to agree, but I thought that abt yesterday's stage, tho' I'd settle for 60-70km rather than 200.

....and not much seemed to happen on the rest day either.

Slow week i guess.

I'm sure for three Frenchies and one ruskie in the break it was exciting enough, they really tried to make it and fought to the bitter end.

Isn't it normally about now that the doping expulsions start to happen? Wink

That usually livens things up a bit.

I think I must be watching a different race Confused

Probably are' date='..............let us know which one it is, cos the one I am watching,........ the "Le tour" is a complete yawner.!

- Awesome individual timetrial by Cancellara

- Team Time Trial very technical with plenty crashes

- Leaders jersey decided by hundredths of a second

- 23 year old Cavendish showing incredible performance and maturity.

- Spinters team causes a split on a flat stage in the wind

- Contador and Armstrong trading blows for team leadership

- Breakaway stage wins.

- Green, polka, and yellow all changing hands and hotly contested.

Only the first week gone.

I dunno, I'm really enjoying it so far.

Yip, that's the Tour that I have been watching! Loving it!

Yesterday was a bit boring though. And then my DSTV froze in the last 10km, so I missed the whole run in to the finish. Angry

Luckily I managed to catch it in the 30 min highlights package.

I did miss the part where Levi got caught up in something and lost 15 seconds at the end.

Yeah but I'm worried Ian, I think we're well overdue for some positive news - I reckon the 1st evildoers shud've been exposed last Thurs/Fri & it's Weds already.

Maybe they ran out of test-tubes at the lab.

Same here. Patience is an important part of being a connoisseur. These days instant gratification is what everyone's become used to.

Instant gratification? Thats whats bothering me. A week into the Tour and I have to search my memory for a few lousy instants of gratification.

Where the hell is the resistance? Where are the attacks, the strategies, the plans?. Is there ANY evidence of a resistance to an Astana walkover?

Contador says in the rest day's press press conference that he was ordered not to attack on the Tourmalet, but to hold back. ( Ordered by Bruyneel, that is.

( Armstrong is getting on a  bit you see. He doesnt like those instant accellerations), keep it nice and steady and keep the field together. No awkward racing, you see.

We may get an instant of gratification on Mont Ventoux. I wouldnt hold my breath waiting though........

As I write this the highlights are being run on DSTV Ch205.

Wait a minute, the picture has paused for ten mins, I didnt even notice until now....another BOOOOOOORING stage for the sprinters.

There are cycling disciplines especially for people like you: 4X, DH, BMX and Track...

You forgot to mention that it has to be 200m down hill, through narrow and twisty roads, with the French riders given a 100m head start. LOL
