LBSs on the way out??

As said in my post check these prices out versas CRC - I am not keen on the LBS closing but if it going to happen due to CRC we may as well try and still keep thing on RSA soil so thus this post:

 

 

 

 

 

Due to the over whelming response to this ad and the number of request for individual items. I have decided to try my best to get individual items at better than CRC price. This will take a little time but I expect to have items in RSA within 4 week. These price will be ex Cape Town but still including 14% VAT. Please email your request to myself on phwheler@iafrica.com . I should be able to get most Shimano part lose, but please remember if your order is about 70% of a complete groupsets the individual items may come up to a complete groupset price - as my supplier will only be able to offer me after market prices on parts.

 

 

 

If their any special item that you not able to find in RSA, and you looking for them, let me know, I maybe can help - on special items I will probably ask for a deposit.

You are right Peter. And hopefully the importers/distributors will feel this and let the shops charge what they want to charge instead of giving them a RRP so that the one shop does not feel cheated because the other one is cheaper.

Tough times all round, actually surprised the cycle industry is weathering things as well as they are.

Leisure and entertainment industrys are feeling the pinch as companies are tightening up budgets, this has a knock on effect.

I know of one company whose directors and employees have taken a substantial pay cut in order to keep the doors open and not lay off employees.

The full effect of the 'credit crunch' will only manifest itself in SA over the next 9 - 12 months.

We aint seen the worst yet.

Never nice to see a business fold but I guess it becomes difficult when competing against big chainstores/wholesalers and overseas online stores
