Where in CT is the best place to get some hill training? I live in milnerton and ride up the durbanville hill. Is there any where else i should try? Signal hill? Bear in mind I will be riding  on the bike there and back .Wink

Leet, put bike in car. Drive to base of hill. Pedal uphill. Training done.

But more serious, rather take your bike to where you want to go. Much easier.

Park somewhere in Fish Hoek, cycle up sun valley. Mrs Skye will be able to help you out there.

something you can do if you only have the hill is try ride with weights added to your legs. It is really hectic what a difference it makes. Hill turn that little hill into tester

there's vissershok and tiekkiedraai ..... thats the only "hills" close to milnerton i know of

for me, the best hill training is s/suburbs side....constantia nek, ou kaapse weg, red hill.....for DC training i cycled from parklands that way and met up with my brother and cycled back. you looking at 130kms or more depending the route

Why go up? Drive up using car and ride down' date=' oh and then wait for someone to take you to the top again to start the CYCLE all over[/quote']

LOL

Here in Somerset West I'm sure we got a couple of those. They get dropped off a couple of 100m before the top and then they free wheel down.

Oh but hill training is worth it. Speaking to my LBS and too my cycling neighbours this last few days and they are impressed at how my cycling has improved with regards to gill training. Its rather hectic ones I tackle each morning to work, and some evenings on my way home.

The advantage is that I get awesome cardio in about 2km ~ 20 minutes
