Guest Big H Posted April 13, 2007 Share If it is properly tensioned to the right and prescribed tension there would be no reason to retension them. A hard knock on the wheel might bend it out of true thus creating a portion of wheel where the tension would be lower. This would result in other spokes releasing tension as well. Thedn you would have to take action. I used a spoke freeze agent (DO NOT USE LOCKTITE OR SIMILAR AS THIS WILL FREEZE THE THREAD PERMANENTLY), Locktite comes in different grades ...... from freezing slightly to freezing completely and fore ever. Make sure you get the correct one!!!!! I tensioned the wheels, trued it proper and put a drop of the tread agent on top of each nipple. The wheels run on a MTB tandem with slicks and has never bee touched since the 2005 ARGUS. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
