'Dale.

Ride was good, pace a bit hot (DD and Michael joined us, and they pushed the pace)

I ended up doing 115 km at an avg of just 29km/h. (did extra distance over Silo's). Finished at about 10h30. Nice and hot by then.

Feeling quite good. Enjoy your rest.

We tackled the Engen Route and went to Wimpy, Malmesbury, only to find that it closed down.

Settled for an egg mayo snack break at the Engen Shop.

Tiny K picked up a hissing snake (sidewall puncture) 10 kms outside M Bury.

Spring is full on, it seems!

Well after non being on a bike for 3 weeks Dommisse was dishing out the pain

Yeah, you had bronchitis or something like that.

Welcome back to training!

Take it ee-zee on the way back to strength, man.

Thanks Dale, I had pneumonia and was in hospital for a night, it took ages for my body to start feeling good again after the mootie, but thank heavens I am on the mend (Dommisse had no compassion for me though, hahaha)

Phew!

Glad to hear you are well down the recovery path.

That will be quite a turn-around if you complete the DC in Nov after suffering from pneumonia in Aug/Sept.

Any riding going on this weekend? Especially tomorrow morning.

Did you get to face the wind today, Wannabe...

Myself and Tiny K did a peninsula side Century with oodles of climbing.

Went to visit a new bike shop, Complete Cyclist, in H bay. Had a free coffee and muffin. Cool shop!

'Dale, sorry bud, no motivation to ride on my own. Rather watched WRC on TV and spent the morning with wifey.

Glad you guys went out and seems like you enjoyed it.

The first 50 was mentoring my brother-in-law to climb some of the ascents and Tiny K and myself split off for higher intensity stuff.

The wind was pretty rough.

For those not riding the One Tonner next Sunday:

Anyone wanna join me next Saturday for a 120 km, 1 000 metres ascent, 28 km/h avg training ride? ^_^

Route To Be Determined.

Start Time Negotiable.

*Have no idea of the RWC match schedule - could affect proceedings!

Let me keep one eye on that... <_<
