mountain_lion Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Well, after looking at various road bikes (including WSD) for mrs mountain_lion, she eventually got a Specialized Roubaix (here on TheHub, earlier this year) and she is very happy with it. Frame is not WSD as far as I know; Stem was already short from the previous lady owner. She only changed the saddle to her preferance.
cat-i Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Narrower handlebars for more precise steering this is probably also personal preferance ... the trance came with very wide handlebars and i wanted to cut it off ... a friend suggested that i ride with it for 2 weeks and then cut it off.i love the wide handlebars, i can force the bike to go shere i want to, with narrowere handlebars (like on the hardtail) steering is more difficult. probably the also depends on what type of riding you do, then - for marathons the bike wouldn't usually have to be force to go where you want it, i guess.
