I would say go to the delvera terrain park. They have small jumps that you can practice on, as well as some bigger ones that you can try. And small drops to practice on too.

?

i've been to jonkershoek with some work colleagues who took me around the jeep tracks, and something resembling a single track thru the forest that ended up at Coertzenburg, but other than that and Tokai, Signal Hill, Table Mountain and Majik, havent been round much.

I know there was quite a discussion on this very point, but I forgot what the consensus was,and am hoping if anyone knows if the trails marked as DH trails at tokai are prioritised for traffic, ie man ?& machine about 100kg going at sick speeds, going down?

?

I have to ask, because there very nearly was a nasty accident with JRussel and two lycra clad individuals (man + lady)? pushing their bikes up DH2. I dont know how they didnt hear him coming, but when they did (I presume they eventually heard him, probably as he threw all the anchors he had), they just stood there on the track, not even really getting out of hte way as if there was some sort of invisible lane divider preventing those going down from smashing into those going up.

This is in stark contradiction to how our little group this past saturday treated anyone coming down: we hauled ass to get bike and body completely off the track. Now you get two supposed adults just parking off inviting a lot of pain.?

So what's the story about traffic direction priority at Tokai for the DH tracks?

Frankly, i think that couple were pretty damn stupid.
