Promise you wont be dissapointed' date=' its awesome. it just might be very hot tomorrow though! what time you gonna try be there?[/quote']

I will, if i leave that is, probably there by 08h30.Might be a tad earlier as I want to roll by 07h30. Havent been driven to Paarl in a while, so I'm thinking about 50min drive?

Looks like this fever is not going to break in a hurry, irrespective of medication. FEK! But if it stays at this level, i will give Paarl a bash. Chicken run it, but still do it. Heavens knows i need to ride my bike! smiley17.gif

what's the shuttle frequency like? on the clock or when it fills up? the latter sometimes takes a bit long as was the case during urban cos some folks just push back up to retry a section as opposed to doing full runs and retrying on the next round back to the top.. others chill on the side to watch and learn.

cant wait to hear how it went for DHK, Jrussel, Mitch21 and Panik.?

Bailed this morning cos the fever didnt break. Woke up early eager to not feel ill, but later on, started getting headaches and being groggy. Bloody awesome smiley6.gif

JRussel really got me excited to try it out, so i will be going as soon as i've recovered. if anyone else going again, please let me know. Always stoked for a riding partner (first aider really smiley17.gif)

I dont know why I havnt done it long ago but I for the first ime in my life, rode the middle part of DH1 in Tokai yesterday. Oh my goodness where has it been all my life. I am currently riding my Blur LT with a 70mm stem so It makes for some good Playbike. the 1.7kg wheelset does make me weary but i have to be smooth. So that new kicker into the burm then another jump just after the BIG roadgap.. we went down there. the section after that, the steep flowy / big boulder section is AWSOME.. I was gigling like a girl the second time down there! I took one of the drops and landed a bit sideways and bounced another section oh my I was flying. and then the road followed by the second drop.. so I start looking at it.. mmm. ooh ahh.. I should do It I tune my mate..I havnt done something dangerous since I sold my jumpbike 2 years ago!.. so after a speedrun or two (I really didnt want to waist my weight weeny xc rims, I took the plunge.. Oh my, so easy! anyway, bombed down the rest of it with wreackless abandon.

Life is good.

Next time Im going to wear full lycra like a xc guy, that will be to funny!

So bleak you didnt make it Capsmiley6.gif.....this morning/afternoon was amazing, we all did the road gap and its sooo easy! and totally overrated. we practised once or twice before the race. Angus hurt his foot on one of the practise runs which was bleak, but Mitch and I did pretty well.

then at about 12 we raced, in the midday heat, I dunno about Angus and Mitch but i was over pedalling so i rolled around allot in the exposed sun, but as soon as I hit the forest i opened up, hit all the jumps real;ly well and I set my Marzo up PERFECTLY for the track it was amazingly smooth and firm!

Our first run, Mitch bailed and Angus's chain got stuck, and i bailed at the last berm!! litrally 2 meters from the finnish line.

Mitch got 2:51

I got 2:52

and Angus got over 3 I think because of his chain.

Then by our second run at about 2, we were all exaughsted, I clipped my bars on a rock and that smashed my wheel into the rock and off coarse, it was extremely tiring and hot out in the open, and I felt soo sh*t from the heat and from being unfit.

Mitch got 2:51 again!

I got 2:54

and I forgot Angus's.

All in all it was an awesome event and track, and im really looking forward to having a look at the pictures! it was so cool!smiley1.gif

One word....

INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The race was the best race I have ever had, everything went so well and it was fun as hell.

As Jason said we all got the roadgap done and it was super easy.

By the second heat, it was over 42 degrees at the top by the Taal Monument. I felt like I flew down the course but I got the exact same time because the heat bogged me down in the pedally section.

I definitley want to try go there next weekend, its too awesome. We can chill and hang up at the playgrounds abit and do some freeriding!

Then move on down to the DH track which is really nice.

Jason we must try that road gap that we were looking at.
