ODI ruffians. very nice. bit small for my hand, but should be fine for someone with smaller hand.

frankly, just about any grip will do.

Whatever size you want if you using your highest ratio and spinning out either get a casset with smaller ring or bigger chainring

Hey Guys

I am seriously keen to give this Downhill stuff a try' date=' but I don't have a Downhill bike.

What I do have is this:

Giant Reign 2006, with a Fox 36 Talas fork, Vanilla R Coil Rear, XT AM Wheels (20mm thru axle) and big brake rotors (203F & 180R).

Is this good enough to start out with? I am not a crazy rider - always looking for the smooth line.

Of course you can do big things on it - The Giant Reign is considered the Giant's freeride bike. Whereas the Glory it's DH bike..

DHK: u asked about weight. UPS tracking info states total parcel weight = 4.7kg. Includes a stem which supposed to weigh 170g. That leaves 4.53kg for the shock + packaging materials.

this one's gonna be another meaty beast smiley2.gif
