Hey everyone, im looking at buying new rear and front derailers and shifters. I need some advice and comments please!

I would like either Sram x9 or Shimano XT  for all mountain use.

Which is the better value for money route, and which will suite me better?

And then finally what prices would I be looking at, for both new and second hand products.

Any tips or advice would be appreciatedSmile

Ask this question tomorrow, and see the can of worms you open.

It goes with what you can afford and want.

I hate sh1tmano, so I will say SRAM,  someone else will say different.

Personal choice makes better judgement, that said go ride with both and see what your heart says. Then buy that.

SRAM Drive Train in terms of gearshift for sure, 1:1 SPRING RATIO, makes for best gear shift, but yeah trying it is probably the best way to go. Shimano Brake systems or Tektro Pro's also very good,...at the end its all about your budget ...

Cheers

Had both, Shimano is easy to set up with smooth soft shifting (and maintenance to keep it that way). Sram is not as easy to set up, has punchy crisp shifts and maintenance is something that kind of happens when you need it. However once set Sram is then forget an ride system.

Look at the conditions you ride, how often you service, but most of all ride both and it will answer your questions.
