Im no expert but id say your arms go numb because all your blood goes to your legs so that the blood can circulate by your legs faster to give your leg muscles more oxygen

that was my guess as well.. would be interesting to see a proper medical answer tho

Is this when your hartrate is at or above 100%?

 

your HR cant go above 100%. if its above 100% then you need to retest your max.

 

but generally it happens when im suffering like a pig LOL

Haha, I apparently have/had a blood clot in my leg (artery) and everytime I try push myself, my leg just starts to cramp and its not from a pull

If you going really hard AND both arms go numb .............. you washing it to long. Wink

The rulle of thumb says that 220 less your age is your theoretical max HR.

So for example, I am 36 and my max should be 184. But I can go up to 200 for short periods of time ( 1 - 2 mins max ) I can maintain a rate of 190 for 10 - 15 mins. I have had this hapen to me before in the spinning class.

Naand Oom Hendrik.

 

Kan darem al so 60min op indoortrainer uithou. Maar moenie besorg wees nie, ek vat dit rusting en my wonderlike vrou pas my mooi op.

 

Nek al mooi reg, nog net bietjie styf, maar die arm gaan nog LAAAANK vat.

 

Het vanaand op aanbeveling van fisioterapeut begin swem, en my 10jarige seun het my weggeswem!!Confused
